Wembley Stadium Trip
Wembley Stadium
Year 5 had a fantastic day at Wembley Stadium for their school trip! We started our adventure early in the morning with a long drive, but the excitement on the children's faces when we arrived made it all worthwhile.
The day kicked off with an engaging workshop where the children took part in a competitive quiz. They then got hands-on with a maths investigation, building their very own football team while working within a specific budget. This activity not only enhanced their skills in decimals, rounding, budgeting, sportsmanship, and teamwork, but it also added an element of fun to their learning!
After lunch, we embarked on a tour of the stadium. Highlights included exploring the rich history of Wembley, learning about memorable music events, visiting the England team's dressing rooms, and even walking through the iconic players' tunnel. The children had the chance to imagine themselves as one of the Lions or Lionesses, warming up and walking pitch-side just like the professionals.
The day’s pinnacle was definitely seeing the players' dressing rooms, complete with all the football shirts on display. It was an amazing experience, and we must say, the children were incredibly well-behaved throughout.
