WORLD BOOK DAY

 

As part of our World Book Day celebrations on Thursday 6th March, we are using a book called ‘The Word Collector’ by Peter Reynolds. To complement this, we are encouraging children to dress up as a ‘word’ of their choice. There are some examples included below to spark your imagination. If children already have a costume prepared for this day then it is fine for them to wear it. However, we would like children to come up with an exciting word that links to that costume. The purpose of this is to allow children to explore new vocabulary and lead to discussions around language. We are excited to see how ‘creative’ our children can be.
