Welcome to Year 6 and to Class 6Y! I’m delighted to be working with your children during this important final year of their primary journey. Whether you’re returning or joining us for the first time, we’re thrilled to have you in our community.

Year 6 is a time of growth and transformation. As children prepare for secondary school, we focus on nurturing independence, resilience, and a strong sense of community—essential life skills that go beyond the classroom.

Our core values—Leadership, Initiative, Resilience, Community, and Organisation—are at the heart of everything we do. We encourage children to take ownership of their learning, show initiative, and support one another as a team.

SATs are a significant milestone in your child’s education. We kindly ask that you encourage your child to continue their learning at home. Homework is set every Tuesday and should be returned by the following Monday. In addition, children are expected to use Times Table Rockstars at home and to read regularly with an adult.
