World Book Day is fast approaching. We will be celebrating on the actual day of World Book Day, which is Thursday 5^th March. In order to celebrate the day in style and promote the love of reading, children will be allowed to dress up as a word. (No football kits please). As always, children will be engaged in reading activities, starting the day with 'Breakfast and a Book'. We ask that each pupil brings in a book from home that they no longer read. Please can your child wrap the book at home and write a tag with a short blurb about the book, e.g. which age group it is suitable for and a short description of the book. Please stick this on the wrapped book and bring it into school on World Book Day. These will be collected and put on display and your child will be able to choose and take home one of the books. (Your child will be sent home with a tag closer to the time).                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Children will also receive their book token on World Book Day (Thursday 5^th March). We are sure you will all support your children with their purchase and enjoy listening to them read.
